standing still

standing still

A Poem by freelancejouster

you can see the words
but not the sentence,
you miss the meaning
out of movies,
seeing just a bunch of pretty faces,
in pretty patterns,
and it's beautiful.

but everything still hurts.

and there's coldness,
and aging,
and probably strife somewhere,
too,
but then,
you'd expect that
anywhere,
and it probably has very little
to nothing to do with you.

there's isn't much to learn
from not doing anything,
but then you knew that already
and that's probably why you're
stationary.
