patience

patience

A Poem by freelancejouster

our story doesn't have to be tragic,
you know that, don't you, darling?

when i said forever,
i meant it,
and i know that the waiting's painful,
but we'll be together soon.

all this tragedy,
the tears for the unfairness of this all,
they're not necessary.

and you told me that you feel like a semi-colon,
and that you're not sure what to do.

i'm sorry to disappoint you,
all i can do is mumble back
that i'd love it if you'd hold your pause
for just a little longer.

long enough for us to age enough
so as to be taken seriously.

our future is approaching,
my love,
you just have to be patient.

Romantic deeply and I loved it!

This is deeply romantic. I am not a poet or know any poetry lingo, but I do like this! I really enjoy this piece of work! Stupendous!
