in which i half-remember my past

in which i half-remember my past

A Poem by freelancejouster

stop-action images flash
behind half-lidded eyes,
struggling against
a controlling urge to sleep.

she's on my mind again,
walking, or more like invading -
though, to tell the truth,
i don't do much to stop her.

drifting through dreams
where i can't so easily stop her.

forgotten memories
come in projector slides
urging me to remember
and remedy the acidic situation.
