Country Club Unicorn

Country Club Unicorn

A Poem by Reclaimed

Under the guise of perception

The trasparency of evil behind the opacity of kindness

Under the lie of refining our fellows

The gift of kindness is quid pro quo

Under the thumb of expectation

It's no gift at all

Pray you, it's proof of payment

After life redeemable for eternal rewards

To speak of altruism is to speak of unicorns

And misunderstand the nature of rules

Kindness was learned out of evil

As a necessity for survival

Abstracted now it's much, much worse

Abstracted now into real fake fairy tales

Be a unicorn, earn an entry into the great country club

To judge from above from a position of comfort

The trasparency of evil behind the opacity of kindness

No one judges like the comfortable

No one lies like the "altruistic"

Unicorns are just horses with swords on their heads
