Wasteland

Wasteland

A Poem by poeticsafari
"

Things that boggle the human mind interest the heart

"

After so long of living in the godforsaken wasteland

I find my self starting to succumb to the cruel fate of reality
After an old nights fantasy
I try hard to push forward stepping into the bliss light on the other side
Though the apparitions and poltergeists of my disembodied thoughts and dreams make nearly impossible
As I look up at the starry luminous sky I think to myself
What could I have possibly done to ever deserve such a fate
Which to my surprise I find nothing until I enter a new land
The land of my dreams
Clearly some manifestation of the world drives me near to my entirely end
Pushing and prodding me out of my halo of ignorance
And into the new world
A world I call hell
