Unfortunate Souls

Unfortunate Souls

A Poem by poeticsafari
"

Everyone gets to that point where they question their own sanity, this is mine

"

Consumed with hatred deeper than the bowels of hell

I trek on waiting and watching for one poor soul that

dares to cross my infernal wake. Silence is key as it

devours most of my hostile nature. Speak to no one do

not let a smile cross your path.  For what’s inside can

never be unleashed or let the earth shake with fear, let

the mortal souls tremble and let the wraith be ignited

erupting the earth into a fiery blaze the likes of an

exploding sun far from the never land region. Contempt

and rage is still was presides and may lay dominant until

that day shall come alive. Dragging humanity down to

an abrupt halt with the last poor soul for my rage alone.

For the one there will be no mercy, compassion, or

forgiveness only the complete and utter destruction of

everything he had come to love in this blazing world we

call hell.

Very dark :) Great use of descriptive language and imagery. The part that doesn't make sense to me is the "contempt and rage is still was presides." Is this an error in grammar or something or meant to be like that?
