A Summers Days End

butterflies from egg Pictures, Images and Photos
Two butterflies moving in unison
a poetic dance within the air
Birds in flight from tree to tree
singing their songs with out a care.

Marshmellow clouds make their path in the sky
shading earth from the midday sun.
Joggers in their colorful gear
huffing and puffing in an afternoon run

Children at play on swings and a slide
their laughter a thing to behold.
To them life is a wonderful ride
and they won't age or ever get old

Another hot day of summer
where the dogs lie in the shade
Old folks in their floppy hats
biding their time til the sun does fade.

Summer nights with starry skies
brings a coolness to the air
A night time walk soothes the soul
and carries away the care.

Each day renews itself
has time slowly passes by
This summer day was beautiful
sad to see it has to die
