Soldiers at war deserve our respect, prayers and love...

A Soldier

 

Obedient

Respect and obey orders

Irrespective to his prewar social standing

 

Well-disciplined

Both physically and mentally

In keeping sane while bombs explode everywhere

 

 

A watch man

Guarding the night safety

While everyone’s snoring at their deepest sleep

 

A fighter

Armored with his musket

Marches all night and fight all day long

                             Putting his life on the line to protect his nation         

 

 

While

Carrying a haversack

His indispensable carry all

To protect and keep him full in few days

 

 

  Running

Not knowing whether it is his last day or not

Hoping his body be found for his family and love ones

To mourn, have their final glance and say final goodbyes

 

 

They

Are one of the many people

Deserve our respect, prayers and love

For their sacrifice is great while we try to achieve

Our goals in life while them doing their job to make sure

Our dreams happened even if it means to sacrifice their own lives!

The reason why we are sitting here at peace, why are we able to to sleep at night, why are we able to observe the beauty of nature because on the border a soldier is protecting our souls. The soldiers are those people who don't care about their life but of his country's future. They do their duty at summer, winter, rain. They are god sent people. They really deserve our respect, prayers and love. A great poem for soldiers.

Hello Devanshu....for your question...nope i don't want to be a soldier...funny but i am even afraid of a real sight of it!!! it's just that i feel sorry for these people that many of them died and became crippled during at war just because it is a command from the highest rank...their obedience is such a remarkable one!!! so i wrote a poem for them because they deserve to be be honored...and it is my little way of saluting these people esp. those at the lower rank and face the horror of terrorism and war. I once read a true story of Prisoners of War, how they suffered and how they face that terrible fate...it really made me cried!!!
