After the Rain

After the Rain

A Poem by Gerry Legister
"

The rainbow comes out after the rain and the whole gloomy atmosphere changes, to reveal a fresh new realm

"

After the rain sunshine began to climb,
over mountains kissing the heavenly realm,
Calm comes a rainbow vapor across the land,
dripping the dew of early morning balm.

In the rain the healing of birth comes again,
this liquid kind of precipitation,
sniffing the element above the breezy plain,
where angels rescue the crops from dereliction.

This elemental weather with precious shower,
the torrent wears and weaves a winding sheet,
filling the clouds and spreading downpour,
with millions of bubbles breaking out on the street.

In the rain thunder from heaven cries aloud,
and cradle the bleaker wintry sky,
with Illuminati webs of gentle swaying mood,
stretch the mind with spirited imagery.

Out of the misty treasures of heaven,
in the rain came stars of showers to blossom,
even as the waters bring fresh flowers again,
