The Bliss Redeemed

The Bliss Redeemed

A Poem by Gerry Legister
"

Martyrs have seen the hope they were willing to die for

"

Let us sing unto God songs of praises
In the perfect tune of our heart,
Call out voices divine blessing raises,
All of earth to heaven's watery roof.

And voices give celebration to Jesus,
With righteous enterprise refurbished,
Refined mercy steer the stars and rush,
People of all ages will worship God.

They stand in awe at his holy presence,
They face the chaos spread on earth,
That wars and rumours leave a trace,
And saints escape into the new birth.

Martyrs discern and those we know,
Are asleep in peaceful paradise,
Many more woes hidden in shadow,
The tally of lives lost in unwritten tales.

Raise your voices and celebrate in songs,
Sing praise and serenade with victory,
Let all earth share in the joy and praises,
The bliss redeemed by our intervene king.
