Cliff diving

Took in another inspiration from tumblr. I swear, that site is filled with things that I need.

Did you know

that there were days

that I wish I could just

throw myself 

to the nearest cliff

and join the tides

that hit the ocean walls

and dance away 

to another coast?

It's true.

It's not like everyday

I find a reason to say

"I'll be alright"

because let's face it

I'm not okay all the time

But I bear it anyway.

Did you know

why I wanted to jump off cliffs 

in the first place?

At first I thought

it was because 

I couldn't stand 

the silence

I didn't know

I could hear silence

but I did.

And then I realized

my God

all this cliff-jumping is pointless

why don't I just

go be in love?

At least I spare the blood and bruises

But I could never spare myself

from the possibility of

hindrances,

horrors,

heartbreaks,

swoons,

sighs,

selfishness,

denial,

dreaming,

demanding

of you

of loving you

of everything about you

So did you know

that instead of jumping off that cliff

I dove down

head first

and into the pools

of your brown eyes.
