Hello, He Lied

Verse 1

You thought he was the man of your dreams

You envisioned him as being perfect

He said he loved you

Could not live without you

And you believed every single word he said

Well, he beat you

Slapped you, called you dirty names

And you didn't have the guts to run away

You thought he was capable of changing

But he's just as bad as he always was

Verse 2

He directed his anger at you

Mostly while being under the influence

He was too cheap to buy a punching bag at the store

So he used you as one instead

He abused you, scared you, even threatened you

And you didn't have the guts to run away

You thought that you could change him

But you wasted your time and energy

Bridge

Hello, he lied

Why are you still with him

He treats you worse than an animal

Hello, he lied

you should get some help

He'll never be the man you always wanted

Chorus

Hello, he lied right to your face

You never questioned anything he said

Hello, he lied right through his teeth

And that cost you to lose one of yours
