Summerland

Summerland

A Poem by ghaw2007

Summerland

Verse 1

We've got a lot of time on our hands

Sometimes we become restless

We're young, so let's do what we can now

Before we can't do it anymore

This cold weather is getting to me

It brings me down as I slip to the ground

You pull me up and the look in your eyes

Says you feel the same way I do

We're longing for warmth

Cold leaves us in pain

And it's time we do something about it

Harsh winds and mountains of snow will not get in our way

Verse 2

Everything about summerland is perfect

The breeze, the sunshine and, of course, the warm weather

Once you're there, you always want to stay forever

That comes as no surprise because the place is wonderful

The days are so long

We can have a picnic by the lake

Or spend our time on the beach building sand castles

Bridge

If we go now, we can get there before sunset

We will watch the sky change colours

And wish upon the stars

Chorus

We're going to summerland

Every day is like the month of June

It's sunny and relaxing
