The Impossible Child

Verse 1

Will you stop screaming?

Will you ever be mature?

One of these days you will have to grow up

Verse 2

You want attention every waking minute

You're no longer a baby

So stop acting like one

Verse 3

You want everything to always go your way

And when it doesn't, you start to cry

You don't like to listen to other people

But when you talk, you demand respect

When you don't get it, your voice gets louder

And you won't stop until you're satisfied

Why do you have to be so impossible?

Why do you have to be a burden?

Your behaviour is rude, but you don't care

You think that everything is a joke

Verse 4

You want everything to always go your way

And when it doesn't, you start to cry

You don't like to listen to other people

But when you talk, you demand respect

When you don't get it, your voice gets louder

You start to frown and throw toys on the floor

Why do you have to be so impossible?

Why do you have to be a burden?

Be helpful and generous

Be responsible and respectful

Chorus

You can't be like this forever

You're not the only one who is clever

It's better that you know this now than never
