Weekend

Weekend

A Poem by ghaw2007

Weekend

Verse 1

It's a Friday afternoon

And we're anticipating the weekend

it officially begins when the clock strikes 5

As we get closer, people become more excited

Verse 2

Don't think of yesterday

Concentrate on the present

Congratulate yourself for working hard all week

Take a dip in the pool

Or treat yourself to a massage

Spend your time on the dancefloor

Bridge 1

Weekend...laughter...party...fun...music

Bridge 2

Loosen your body

Just take it slow

There's no need to be uptight

We have 55 hours of craziness and bliss

We're going to have a good time

It's the weekend!

Chorus

It's 5 o'clock!

The weekend has arrived

Turn your stereo louder

Honk your horn

Change into something comfortable

Let's celebrate!
