Don't Tell Me

Verse 1

She's playing dirty

That's part of her behaviour

If she's told not to do something

She'll go ahead and do it

She defies authority, has suspicions about others

She's always on guard, she's a one woman battleship

Verse 2

You never can tell if she's serious or not

Sometimes the games she plays ties brains in a knot

Being misunderstood is a fact of life for he

She wishes someone knew her for who she really is

Bridge

Live and let live

Mind your own business

If you can't keep to yourself, try harder

No one's life should ever be controlled or threatened

Have the dignity to respect others privacy

She would for you if you were in her position

Chorus 1

Don't tell her father what she does

He doesn't know who his daughter is

If he did, he would be shocked

Chorus 2

Don't tell her peers what she does

They don't know who she is

If they did, they would be surprised

She may feel embarrassed and may want to die

Outro

Live and let live

If you can't keep to yourself, try harder

No one's life should ever be controlled or threatened
