Life Upside Down

Verse 1

The ceiling is about to cave in

I'm saying "Not yet!" because it's early summer

You know what that means?

I want to relax and have some fun

But I can't do that if I am homeless

Verse 2

Somebody's knocking at my door

I'm saying "Leave a message on my answering machine"

You know what that means?

I'm going to sleep even though I'm not tired

Verse 3

I eat and watch TV way too much

I try to cut back on them but I'm eating and watching more

You know what that means?

I need to get help before it's too late

I can't live like this forever

Chorus

Life can turn upside down

I should know because mine is in the process of doing so

Luckily I'm wearing a helmet

If my body gets bruised and battered

At least my head will stay intact

The view from here can be nauseating

But that's the least of my concerns

I have to turn my life right side up
