Hold Your Fire

Hold Your Fire

Hold Your Fire

Verse 1

You think you're right and I am wrong

You think I'm guilty and you are innocent

You think you're smart and I am dumb

You think I'm afraid and you are brave

Verse 2

You think you're good and I am bad

You think I'm ashamed and you are proud

You think you're happy and I am sad

You think I'm weak and you are strong

Bridge 1

You think I should pay for what I'm accused of

You only see what you want to see

You think I'm ugly and you are beautiful

You think you're rich and I am a poor

You think I'm crazy and you are sane

Given the chance, I'll prove you wrong

Then you'll know I was right all along

Bridge 2

You think I should pay for what I'm accused of

You only see what you want to see

Chorus

Hold your fire

Don't shoot at me

I need more time to plead my case

Why the rush to judgement?

The result is a lot of consequences
