Edge of Nowhere

Edge of Nowhere

Edge of Nowhere

Verse 1

Teenyboppers dancing and dying

For the latest bands and all things trendy

With fragrances, Mohawks and skinny jeans

Smartphones displaying more intelligence than them

Mommies more limited than they'll ever admit it

Frazzled and burnt out in the modern age

New inventions create new complications

Don't be surprised if we're replaced by robots

Verse 2

As we watch procedurals, we become more clueless

Snapping out of bad habits is difficult

But if we prevail, the reward is great

We'll know that we can overcome our addictions

Sleeping with the enemy is what your daddy did

Until driven away and banished by the state

Reparations are never paid to the youth

We can't hide from them

They see us fully and completely

Verse 3

Activism in dwindling supply

Unions caving in

Will the boss man win?

Aliens are seen as the last great hope

The antidote to every illness and conflict

If you drink the Kool-Aid

You'll drain yourself of blood

Living in a mad house will be your new home

When things become q-ueer and more unrelatable

Only the designers can create new styles of living

Chorus

Let's all join hands and chew bubblegum

Make a s-ex tape and gossip all day

When we're brand new, we're unlimited

But everything becomes tainted

Sparks shine a bit dimmer

The light is less vibrant

And we're pushed closer to the edge

The edge of nowhere
