Don't Go To Strangers

Don't Go To Strangers

Don’t Go To Strangers

Verse 1

When I was just a young boy

My mother said to me

“Beware of strangers, my son

In the dark cold places they’ll keep

Beware of strangers, my son

Beware of their hidden motives

They’ll try to befriend you

While planning to take your life away”

Verse 2

“Don’t go talking to them

You have nothing to discuss

They’ll twist every word you say

Try to convince you they bring no harm

Entice you to play with them

To hold their hand and follow them

Then take you where the lights are dim

And shadows are all you can see”

Verse 3

Now when I was just a young boy

My teacher said to me

“Beware of strangers, my student

But if by chance you should meet

Beware of their cunning nature

And where they lurk around

They’ll spin a web of lies

And play with your head

To get you to trust them

And you’ll never be seen again”

Chorus 1

“Don’t go to strangers

Stay close to home

Don’t go to strangers

I will protect you”

Chorus 2

“Don’t go to strangers

Stay close to home

Don’t go to strangers

I will protect you

Don’t go to strangers, boy

Or you will surely die”

Chorus 3

“Don’t go to strangers

Stay close to home

Don’t go to strangers

I will protect you

Don’t go to strangers

It’s dangerous

Don’t go to strangers, boy

Or you will surely die”
