Nightly struggle

Nightly struggle

A Poem by Ghiasquared

As I fight through the nightmare,
my mind dripping through the claws of night
Do I dare imagine reality,
Who knows the difference anymore

The ebb and flow of dreams,
have merged with the life I live
No solace for me,
for no one treads my path

Reaching for the helping hand,
to only find malice and discontent
While I have tried to help many,
So few can return the favor

They know not what flows through me,
this disenchanted soul that's lost
Fear of death plagues me,
what sweet lies it has told

If life is my only reality,
then alone I would rather dream
Let me borrow your shoulder,
to rest my weary head.

I see that I am going to have to pace myself with your pieces. They are such delectable morsels that you want to gobble them all up. lol
For some reason, these words are familiar to me. It's as though I could have written them myself. *exhaling* Thanks for penning my emotions.
