ArmaladéA Poem by gio_gemArmaladé Armaladé My maiden glittering of charm Oh what doth a miser servant owe thee? My humility is to the depths of Atlantis It only is in thy cuddle I am unmolested So love me and keep me not at arm’s stretch
Armaldé Armaladé Hear my voice linger in the void of thy
presence As it seeks thy presence amidst my memory Oh my love Armaladé, the manna in my desert Hear me when I knock twice ‘pon thy heart What is the use of a puppet without his master?
Armaldé Armaladé For thy love I let heavens slip through my
fingers I gave up earth so that I could merry with
stars I casted away my family for the sake of thy
zests But now here I am with memory as my
acquaintance Am i just thy next Wordsworth and Shakespeare?
Armaladé Armaladé Together we made the renegades of conformity Behind the curtains you made me earth’s romance With little ken you perfected me as thy Dorian
Gray But it is the hell that thou created that bound
thee Did the fame I brought thee made thee Atlas?
Armaladé Armaladé When I grew big to fit in thy Eden thou
banished me Now this land of no honey and milk is my home Stuck between two chords with no song to sing A soul that poverty shies from and pleasure is
blind to Oh Armaladé love me now; hymn me to thy arms
Armaladé Armaladé At your gate I have become out of time Misplaced by place and discarded by memories If for once by my own I grow feet to walk again Thou will offer me thy glory but I shall never
bow To hurt you not Armaladé, never let me go
To Armaladé my love I trade my romances For a tunic of gold and silver that veneers my
stains
