Under starlight

Under starlight

A Poem by Lydia Waldock

Toes dipped in the cold water river running warm hands touched close
under the starlight, I was in love
I was in love with the air between us the breath we steal
stolen kisses and blushing cheeks
burning fires and bridges
im glad i meant you
in those rainy nights and those cloudy days you were by my side
and
you were so sweet
to be no longer be mine
