Conflicting demons

Fighting for a place

In my heart.

 

Constantly pushing,

And shoving to

Be the one.

 

One is selfish

And the latter

Is good nature.

 

I want the

Good nature to

Be the victor

 

But without

Selfishness

There is no good.

 

And I seem

To focus on

Selfish.

 

He has many

Good points,

But alas.

 

As does Good Nature.

They are two demons

That will never leave.

 

I dont think

One will ever

Win.

 

They will constantly

Grapple and fight,

Neither giving.

 

And this is how

It will be, for

The rest of my days.
