Me

Me

A Poem by roses
"

I take a very honest approach to life and how I choose to live it. I'd rather do and feel things in a real and raw way. Rather than portray what I think the world wants to see.

"

Maybe I’m wrong but I will say it anyway.

Maybe I’m mean but the words will still tumble out.

Maybe it’s inappropriate but I’m still going to chuckle.

Maybe I am too much but I am me.

I am not that ivory snowflake primp and perfectly symmetrical.

I am the storm, grey and raging.

Sometimes I’m that harsh ray of sunlight casting onto you.

Sometimes the pale robin egg sky and breeze between your toes.

Sometimes that dull smudge up above, the drops falling on your cheeks.

I am proud of this person.

This me.

I won’t pretend or venture to sell you some artificial grin.

I use my whole heart.

Comfortable in my skin.

I am not what you perceive

This you can believe.
