A cup of Tea

A cup of Tea

A Poem by Lale
"

James Taylor's music and a cup of tea match perfectly.

"
Music coming from another room
James Taylor remembering Carolina
I remember you

My flat smells like peppermint
I hear voices in my tea
whispering "you've got a friend in me"

Today's a good day and "I won't make it any other way"
I am grateful for the cup of tea in my hand
A sigh of relief

Thank you for reading.
Am a tea drinker, myself--and James Taylor's music is more than okay with me.
Much appreciate the cleverly created poetic relaxant.
Now, gonna go brew myself the heartiest cup of tea allowed by law.

What a perfect combination Lale. I am liking your choice in music. Assuming it is peppermint tea you are drinking? It must be that wafting through the air. Now you must put your feet up and relax :))

Lovely brevity poems and especially this ones with James Taylor music and a hot cup of tea to calm the soul. Thanks for visiting me at the Cafe!

Oh my god, I'm so sorry for the typo. Nice to meet you, Betty.
"close your eyes, you can close your eyes, it's alright. I don't need no love songs, and I can't sing the blues anymore....but I can sing this song and you can sing this song when I'm gone"

Love the poem and how you wrote around his lyrics...saw him in 2003...he was fabulous and still sounded exactly as he did in the early seventies.

I'm not a tea drinker, but am a rabid James fan...and a rabid fan of this write of yours.
Happy Tea.
