Playing Along

Playing Along

A Poem by goldie uttamchandani
"

Keeping up with the world.

"

In my head, yes in my head

The symphony of a tone-deaf musician

I play along however, swagger on to perfect drum and bass

So out of tune with my head pace

The world I hear has lyrics of soul

My listening could call it meaningless rigmarole

They seem to rock and roll

On me it's taking a toll

They choir along in perfect symphony

I'm struggling to find my own harmony

Words so pleasant and euphonious

Forgive me, I can't help but feel blasphemous

Your talk is nothing but cacophonous

Please continue with your rhythm and blues

Excuse me I'll need to pour myself some booze
