Is a loop that was once interwoven among thousands of cooperative threads swerving and twisting around the neck and arms

 

Now lifts its head tenderly to the sky; a beam of sunlight that peers tentatively through slumbering clouds

A sudden ripple on the surface of a calm lake; a chaotic and unwelcome sight

that sends heat rushing through the metal coils inside of a glass bulb

 

Bringing incandescent realisation that a single grey sweater

 

With a single grey thread, raised in a single grey loop,

 

Began with, and will end as thousands of single grey threads.
