Uncommitted.

Uncommitted.

A Poem by AaRen Lee
"

The burden of love rots you away. It takes away all your will to do anything. Life is cruel; love makes it crueler; it makes you weak.

"
"Do you still like her?" my friend asks you,
"No," is just your simple response.
How is it that you could just go through,
A breakup with such nonchalance.
I thought, you gave me your word,
That you would always be there.
I guess that I must've misheard,
For you simply act like you don't care.
I guess since you have moved on in life,
I should stop lingering around the past.
I'll stop holding a grudge, no more strife,
I supposed this thing was just not meant to last.
But I've lost all feeling, due to your pride.
You accuse me, when you have not admitted,
We are opposites; of Jekyll and Hyde,
But I can assure, that you were not committed.

Words speak. Actions speak louder than poems. Poems convey those actions. I think poems are the best way to express one's self; at least for me it is. The beautiful flow of rhymes and sincerity within.. more..
