Boredom

Boredom

A Poem by Dylan Cook

Boredom is an attitude and a awful feeling
It means despite there being plenty to do
You chose to feel sorry you chose to feel blue
And the options have your head simply reeling

So you wander outside in the quaint riverside town
Watching the seagulls flashing by in the orange light
The loud thunderclap of pigeons as they take flight
Startles you out of lethargy and you don't feel down

Now you feel elated as if you just had an epiphany
Now you know how to conquer boredom because
It's an attitude and an awful feeling and always was
You vow never to be bored again and to be happy

So you wander outside in the quaint riverside town
Watching the seagulls flashing by in the orange light
The loud thunderclap of pigeons as they take flight
Startles you out of lethargy and you don't feel down
