A cradle in her arms

A cradle in her arms

A Poem by Gracee Amores

For my Mother. I maybe away from you but always know that you are in my thoughts and in my heart.

A cradle in her arms

Sitting there in a rocking chair,

Her eyes on the rain of the windowpane,

As the sky is turning into a flash of darkness,

Her tears begin and feel the sadness.

Her child was then the greatest gift,

Those times her arms were free to lift,

But now the time is so unfair,

She’s all alone and no one care.

When times the child cradles in her arm,

She is awake to keep away from harm,

Her unconditional love is priceless,

Now, she’s turning back days of memories.
