Battle of the Cosmos

Battle of the Cosmos

A Poem by Grace

The yellow crescent

hanging lowly over th mountains

Took it's last breath

before being consumed by a dying star

becoming reborn

fed by the moon

shining brightly

rising in the sky

bleeding lightness

into darkness

the velvet night

was burned by the light

stung by the shine

tried to destroy the star

finally pushed it

behind the inky sillhuette

of snow capped mountains

victory was the night's

light was gone

darkness ruled sweetly

but shortly

the suns first ray

pierced through

wrenching away mystery

dominating the sky

as the Last One Standing
