Fallen

Fallen

A Poem by Grace

Just behind the eyes
Of the fallen
Truth can be found
Gleaming like a diamond
That was aged and formed
By the heat of agony
Beautiful, pure, rare
Unbreakable
As the will of those who possess it

Those still standing see it all
Hate it, loathsome and foreign
Because they cannot own it
And don't understand that to gain
One must lose
Everything
