Thor is a bit of a mad one, but his haiku are pretty epic. Judging by this, anyway. Living haiku where anger becomes energy and impacts everything within pissing distance. When I read the old myths, there is a sense that creation--the way people imagined creation--is a kind of poetry. Or perhaps poetry precedes creation and it is the poetry of everything that makes the world beautiful and terrifying and all the things it can be simultaneously.

Kind of like the chicken/egg scenario. Not really possible to know which came first since we weren't there to see life crawl from the water or a giant's teeth become boulders or Thor's piss become rain...or what have you. But, clearly Thor knows. And he is proud of his understanding. And paints the sky with his passion which is in this instance anger. Which encapsulates so much of the earth's energy. At least it seems like anger sometimes with the violence that results from the earth and its leanings.

I'm just rambling, obviously, but I like the way this poem made me think about the matter of life for a moment. In a different way. And the hang of the title just lends itself to that too. Good stuff.

As long as he keeps pissing on Australia and dampens the burning forests I’m good:) praise Thor! I wonder if he would mind pissing over Washington DC for a while they could use a good cleansing...
