The Pebble poem

The Pebble poem

A Poem by gram linski

The Pebble poem;
-
The last thought -
          - air bubble gone -
                                       - pop !
-
     ;
-
the jagged mountain teeth
skin - like volcanic coiled mass
-
the croc said ;
     " boy, you are not man enough
to traverse the rapids and torments
of Life,
swallow this pebble, this red pill - like universe,
it will grow and grow and make you
strong,
    come back a world weary tired
irate man and with my blessing
you may swim, "
-
     - the pebble became a stone
and grew and grew within my
bones, gave me substance     feeling      form
a badge of honour in a skin- like uni       form of
deformity and disease
these things
these things - like a stubborn old root
holding onto life, to muddy
clay - like life,
-
the stone sucked nourishment from
me a sedintary bone- like tendril
burrowed marrow deep,
-
the stone became a rock
expanded grew and grew
merged within the
calcification of thought
became       sentient        part       me
gave the grounding strength
the unbearable lightness of being
a forgotten thing
intangible -
             - at best,
the  heavy crush of conscience
of undisturbed id
-
I face the demon river the boiling
madness froth of Life,  the shimmering of
golden grasses in the rippled mirror
grey slate, ancient eyes, watching
waiting,
-
    I dive ;
-
the explosion of senses wet cold
electricity,    Live,        a million hot needles
firing my skin chilling bone, dem bone,
-
the last thought -
           - air bubble gone -
                                      - pop !
-
the heavy guilt within my gut
drags me down down down,
-
time for lunch, thought
the croc

this is like a bad vaccine for the virus...
Thinking it will be a miracle...but then the croc is just a little too hungry.
