The Pebble poem;
- The last thought - - air bubble gone - - pop ! - ; - the jagged mountain teeth skin - like volcanic coiled mass - the croc said ; " boy, you are not man enough to traverse the rapids and torments of Life, swallow this pebble, this red pill - like universe, it will grow and grow and make you strong, come back a world weary tired irate man and with my blessing you may swim, " - - the pebble became a stone and grew and grew within my bones, gave me substance feeling form a badge of honour in a skin- like uni form of deformity and disease these things these things - like a stubborn old root holding onto life, to muddy clay - like life, - the stone sucked nourishment from me a sedintary bone- like tendril burrowed marrow deep, - the stone became a rock expanded grew and grew merged within the calcification of thought became sentient part me gave the grounding strength the unbearable lightness of being a forgotten thing intangible - - at best, the heavy crush of conscience of undisturbed id - I face the demon river the boiling madness froth of Life, the shimmering of golden grasses in the rippled mirror grey slate, ancient eyes, watching waiting, - I dive ; - the explosion of senses wet cold electricity, Live, a million hot needles firing my skin chilling bone, dem bone, - the last thought - - air bubble gone - - pop ! - the heavy guilt within my gut drags me down down down, - time for lunch, thought the croc
