The World's End

The World's End

A Poem by gram linski

The World's End ;
the doors darken themselves
with the grime of life
passing through
negative thought osmosis
soaking into the smoke stained wood
the spilt beer blood and tears
of a thousand lost nights
a thousand lost souls
seeking comfort     /      solace
                             /     solitude
                                               /      of mind
crumpled dreams discarded
tossed aside absorbing the piss
and puke of the good times
bad nights / broken road trips of
the heart / night,
an explosion of violence
sudden
sharp
like gun fire
BANG !
A lead fist - like hole
piledriver
punched through walls of skin
                        and bone,
the silence deafened only by moans
the moment smashed into crimson
spattered tears
more patina
more shadow and shade
more
the heavily burdened doors
creak closed and sigh,
another night of reverie

That is a very negative place you are writing about here gram. Descriptive, but dark. A thousand lost nights and a thousand lost souls tells me how long this had been going on. Good to close the doors. Hope you are doing ok. Don't see you on here much these days. All the best.
