Half the message.

Half the message.

A Poem by Rachel DeHart

I wrote you a poem today.

Full of all the stuff I couldn’t say

when you asked.

Full of the one secret I have to keep

from you.

I wonder what you would have said...

Cause I know myself well enough,

to know I’ll never put you through

making a choice like the one

that you’d have to make.

I love you.

In the same way you love me.

And until you don’t want me around

anymore.

I’ll be here.

Stay here.

I’ll be whatever you need me to be.

And that stupid part of my heart

that wants to shake everything up..

that will just stayed locked up.

But know this much.

you have the key to open it.

Intriguing. I think there is so much we DON'T say in love relatinships, just to keep peace that it would shock the pants off everyone if we just started to say whatever we thought, when we thought it. It would be funny though...sort of. I like the way you ended this...now I'm off the read the next part!

This is deeply profound and pure.
