Lost Generation

Lost Generation

A Poem by Megan Lynn Tocci
"

We fall asleep to the white-noise of gunshots on screens.

"

We are the children of a lost generation.

We're the ghosts of a time when the world was painted

with light in the seams.

Whispers of war become so damn expected

that it all sounds the same,

we're not listening now.

We fall asleep to the white-noise of gunshots on screens.

the ill effects of terrorism kills the innocence of children, destruction is the ploy so creatively played by those in power so sad thoughts..
