Newly Single.

A Poem by Greg Kousoulis
"

A poem speaking on feeling lost in the world after losing love.

"

The feeling has come and gone. Love once bountiful now resides in hindsight

A burden that healed wounds it created

Letting go suffocates and holding on asphyxiates

To embark again is a paradox

Like opening a lidless box

How can you rediscover something never lost?

What do you think? This is one of my first attempts at poetry and truly did not intend for it to rhyme

Your diction is amazing and it is a rare skill to convey so much in so few lines, I am excited to see what you write next. Amazing job :)

Sounds like a learning opportunity. If you can, without force, let the thing go, you will have grown.

I like it. It doesn't always have to rhyme to say somethin' good!
