A Story by Greta M Furze
"

Started it in Uni, not too sure where to go with it just yet.

"

Organizing memories into separate piles; charity shop, bin or keep. It’s the hardest task Ailla has had to carry out. She hadn’t been inside Damon’s flat since his accident. The hope of his recovery kept her from realizing the inevitable. Damon’s funeral was in less than three days and Ailla still hadn’t prepared her eulogy. No words seemed to justify how much he truly meant to her. Hoping to gain some inspiration she gently sifted through old photo albums of their childhood. Slowly running her finger across his photographed face, her whole body stiffened. She would never see him in the flesh again.
