I like your philosophy. It reminds me of what they said in the Marines, "Pain is just weakness leaving the body."
I say that I am thankful for pain, because as long as I can feel pain, I must be alive. I am on some of the strongest pain medicine available, and it still does not take away all of my pain. If they give me a higher doseage, it could kill me. The only way for me to feel no pain at all is to have a general anesthetic, which is not very productive. I will just live with the pain that I have, satisfied that I am alive.
i like the combination of concepts in this piece, well carried on.. but i think the poem itself is great, further more the simplicity is shown along the surface, not hidden. by simply saying that pressing on speaks for hope, for love, for realization.. this is a great write.. i believe giving part for the religion make it even corrupted like that of a "biblical plague".... its like there is no hope for lies to get its forsaken justice yet pressing on, going along the flow seems the rational amongst the irrational minds, and that we get eventually the realization we long opt to...
Chloe has got there before me and picked the best line of the poem. Sadly one of the trials of existence seems to be unless we feel pain we are not alive. Thankfully, clearly you are and have written a cool poem!

I enjoy writing. Never went to high school. I also hate it when people compliment what I do without seeing the end results or they are afraid they will hurt my feelings. more..
