Dark Night, Cool Breeze

dark night, cool breeze

mind flight, help. please.

half dead, no life.

empty bed, need a wife.

mind drifts, time flies

spirit lifts, close your eyes

troubles come. sink down

no fun... leaving town.

can't leave: no goal

retrieve lost sole

can't win, no fight

head spins. bad night.

new day, no luck

just say, "Give up."

feel tense, mind explodes

thick and dense. release load

nothing's right. I'm on my knees...

dark night, cool breeze

Greg; this is a deep poem and I like it a lot. Honestly, I think you're holding back from true expression. While reading this I feel a man who is asking to be heard but only at a whisper. Perhaps he is shy to release or is confined by popular belief that a man isn't permitted emotion. I see you have the emotion and the tallent; I would love to see you release it. The piece was wonderful.
