Void

Void

A Poem by the_stoic
"

people and loved ones move on in life leaving behind broken hearts and unfulfilled promises ..

"

and they leave, creating a void forever
the ones who had vouched of letting go never
gone is the symphony of the perfect octave
a black rose for what once was; on the solitary grave..

I try to think of death as a passing on, rather than passing away from us. It makes me feel less lost forever. Never is a long time, and I hope my way of thinking, keeps them in my heart for ever. The 3rd line is timeless. What once was, will always be safely in our heart.

Thank you for these beautiful words.

Smiling at you

Tai

This completely portrays the utter abandonment and the hurt that breathes through it!

the last line makes this poem very strong in its statement. I love the simplicity of this poem clearly stating what you feel and mean.

this short write left so much void and appreciation for life; it is the acknowledgement of losing that helps us see the value of the living....the loss lives in this write.
