The Monster Resides

The Monster Resides

A Poem by Saudalihe Gypsy Baker
"

Ever think about how you become a different person when your angry? Look in a mirror, right into the center of your own eyes, and see if you see that person.

"
In a mirror I see
Those eyes
So well known to me
Anger, rage
A different face
Uncaring, unconcerned
Sadistic, masichistic
Don't mess with her
She will kill you
She will kill you cold
Then walk away
Unconcerned
She will ignore you
And fill you with rage
Be afraid
She is wrath
She is anger
Be afraid
She has no mercy
Nor any other emotion
Have fear
She will cause unimaginable pain
I stare and think
How hard it is to believe
That could be
in a girl like me
I'd give my life
For a stranger on the street
I'd sell my soul
For a world of harmony
I'd provide an ear
for those who have none
A voice
when it is wrong
Compassion
when there is none.
Into the mirror
Into the eyes
I wonder
as the monster resides
