Stardust

Stardust

A Poem by I Cast a Shadow

Aimless glint

A sudden face

To finite conscious

From infinite place

Both do linger on and on

Both will spiral until gone

Perhaps not gone but has gone on

You and I are from dust to dust

Betwixt our lifeless wand’ring must

Engage within walls wherein we percept

Our place where dreams and demons are kept

You and I -- Stardust -- created by created by

Forever fear and ever love -- a twinkle in the eye

Born are we created, though cursed creators are we

A grain of sand -- a drop of water in an endless sea.

Beneath the sun or ‘neath the moon, I beg you, take my hand

We’ll spiral somewhere, my radiant love, building castles in the sand.
