Thoughts Lately

Thoughts Lately

A Poem by I Cast a Shadow

I hunger

I thirst

I’m lost

I’m blind

Torso quakes

Shoulders quiver

Thighs stretch

Losing my mind

Chest hanging

To a point

The point of pleasure

Of no return

Back swaying

Reclusive playing

Speechless symphonies

Thrown away before their endings

Seldom thoughts that end on a high note

Worry

Concern

Stony expressions hiding wet ones

Cold and hot even

Are your feelings still embers smoldering

Or are they burning in other places?

All I can see is smoke

Regret

For me

For you

For us?

I want you
