Spring

Spring

A Poem by I Cast a Shadow

And then the sun breaks over the horizon

And melts the misery purged by the seasons of the dead.

Warmth soaks our skin and

We remember what it is to be alive.

Budding blooms open gently

Like something erotic.

The morning dew escapes with haste

From the sun who caresses everything.

Smooth blades and silky petals dance a sultry daze.

Fragrant; the Earth offers herself and beckons fertility.

We forgive the gloom for sake of apologetic rays.

Come out come out wherever you are

And be

Alive!
