Suicide

This is how I cope, I write.

Suicide

 

suicide is selfish

that's what they say

they don't know what its like

to deal with the pain

day after day

 

not feeling good enough

worthless and useless

it gets rough

not knowing what's in store for tomorrow

it can be tough

 

feeling like your drowning

unable to breathe

you cant stay afloat

not knowing what to do

you lose all control

 

you don't wake up one day

thinking i'm going to die

its a process

a hard one at that

it takes a lot of time

 

what I don't understand

is why it selfish

of course I have my family

friends

but they don't need me

 

I swallow the pills

cut my wrists

hold that gun to my head

thinking

wishing I was dead

 

in the end

I know its selfish

leaves me thinking

holding on to that simple wish

please just let my life end

Very moving and the emotions are strong. Everyone has thought about it at least once or twice, but some haven't been to the degree of being right on the edge to where you are right there actively looking for a way out. Right now, it is hard to find the light. To be honest, I don't know if it will get better for you, but the one thing I can say is that... If you are careful with your future decisions and those you surround yourself with there is a potential that it can get better. I don't know what has you at this point, but I hope whatever it is gets better. xo Winter

A hard topic for me. Two brothers committed suicide. One left a baby girl who is 18 years old asking me question about a brother who died too soon. Life can be hard. Better to give the one finger salute to naysayers and find things and people you enjoy. I don't know if suicide is selfish. I believe people need reason and purpose. Sometime you need a change of scenery and leave the bad things behind. Suicide is death. No coming back. Never know what you may do and accomplish. A power poem. You gave me a lot to ponder. Thank you.
