Seasons Haikus

Seasons Haikus

A Poem by Hannah Morrissey
"

Our first assignment in creative writing was to create a haiku for each season, and as a class we had to determine which poem was which season.

"
Solemn skies surround
Night closes in hastily
Chilled mists nip daintily

Fevers persevere
Daybreak dew sparkles in sight
warbles arouse chirps

Blistering heat waves
asphalt scorches, singeing feet
Lackadaisical

Wind taunts one's chillbumps
soothing smokey aromas
rusted wings dwindle

A beautiful seasonal poem. I liked the description. Brought to life the surroundings and the feel of the heat than chill. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
