Dreamy Threshold

Dreamy Threshold

A Poem by Madame Mystique

Dreamy Threshold

I let my mind wander,

While digging deep

In nocturnal slumber.

Not a restriction at sight,

Nothing to stop imagination

All through the night.

A world free of limit

I could share,

But I have a moody spirit.

Going down the hall,

Gazing into a window

Such views stand tall.

Elephants that juggle,

Encircled with music

A perfect life without struggle.

Opening doors I walk

Into a garden with blossoms

I let the voices talk.

Paper lanterns dance

In aerial swirls,

All caught in one glance.

The ground bellow is damp,

Well what do you know?

I’m now standing

In the middle of a swamp.
